World Wide Human Scams Nepalis Using Fake Documents to Go to Macau

Kathmandu  : Serious irregularities have been uncovered in the recruitment activities of World Wide Human Resource Networking Pvt. Ltd. (Reg. No. 534-06162), a manpower company licensed under Nepal’s Department of Foreign Employment. The company has allegedly been sending Nepali workers to Macau using fraudulent documents and illegal practices.

According to evidence, the company obtained labor approval under the name of one employer but sent workers to entirely different companies. For instance, approvals taken for Grand Lisboa Macau were used to send workers to Galaxy Hotel Macau, while approvals in the name of Galaxy Hotel were used to send workers to Melco Resorts and Entertainment. Most Nepalis were recruited for jobs such as security guards, housekeeping staff, and cleaners.

Despite strict labor laws in Macau, the illegal network reportedly continued with the influence of manpower businessman Sagar Thapaliya, who is accused of using political connections to bypass regulations. Workers desperate for employment in Macau, driven by financial and family pressures, were charged heavy fees while being misled through false approvals.

Although the Nepalese Consulate General in Hong Kong, which also oversees Macau, had been informed about such malpractices, no serious investigation was carried out. This negligence, observers warn, has allowed the fraudulent practices to persist.

Experts caution that irregular labor approvals could lead to major risks and complications in the future. Speaking on the issue, Bhuvan Singh Gurung, President of the Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs’ Association, stressed that “misleading the government with false documents is a serious crime” and urged the Government of Nepal to enforce strict monitoring to protect workers and prevent furthe.
